Collection Care
The conservation of museum collections is predicated upon the successful execution of preservation tactics. One of the single greatest decisions made by a conservator or registrar is the selection of a storage system designed to protect artifacts from human and environmental sources.
Collections are your single-most important undertaking you can rest assured that we’ll help turn this otherwise long and complex process into a manageable, less problematic one for you. At Systematics we recognize that the most significant factors influencing your choice in storage systems are to conserve and preserve your collection. To that end, Systematics is able to offer you a single source for all your storage needs. Whether your need is art racks, painting storage, herbarium cabinets, artifact storage, archival storage, or museum cabinets, we can help, as we have done for thousands of satisfied customers throughout New England.

We will work with you to examine the entire collection with emphasis on objects designated for storage and also take into consideration objects that may eventually be placed in the storage space. Our process includes an inventory of the types of objects, the quantity of each object, their sizes, and the required amount for storage. We will help you categorize the types of objects that are sensitive to temperature, humity, light, and air pollution.
